I am taking part in Flux Factory's 10th Anniversary Benefit and Auction on December 11, and donating an experience never offered before. Leading up to the event, the donation is available to bid on via Paddle 8. The description is as follows:
Take advantage of this rare and incredible opportunity to experience yourself immortalized and weep like Ulysses did when he heard his story told. Michelle Levy is a storyteller, media conduit, visual artist, empath, and descendent of mystical Jews. She knows who you are within the context of the world, mundane and fantastical, IRL and virtual, in which you live.
The winner will receive a consultation with Levy in a New York City locale. Within six weeks, you will receive a clamshell box containing a combination (or all) of the following;
a recording of your oral story which may be passed down to future generations,
Several bars of a chorus or theme song that accompanies your story which will be sung by future generations,
a transcribed version of your story on acid free archival paper to be preserved by future archivists should it happen that digital technologies fail
and a signed portrait which may be drawn or printed.
A questionnaire and set of instructions may be sent in advance of the meeting.
TERMS & CONDITIONS
-Consultation will take place in New York and will last one hour in person or via Skype -Consultation will be on a mutually agreed upon date -Winner will receive final product six weeks later after initial meeting -Portrait can be drawn virtually, in person is preferred -Airfare and accommodation is not included -If winner resides outside of New York, a shipping fee of $25.00 will apply -If under 18 years, must be accompanied by parent or guardian
