About Michelle Levy
Michelle Levy is an artist whose fascination with particular characters (real and fictional) along with a curiosity about contemporary notions of faith, have led her to adopt a role of storyteller, mythmaker, medium. Her presenations, performances, visuals and text muddle fantasy and reality in order to explore the nature of these obsessions in a collective and relatable way, coaxing us into a space where anything is possible.Although Michelle's subjects choose her, she is captivated by, and on the constant lookout for a certain individual she refers to as the misplaced visionary, who exists, unassumingly, as an ember amongst us.
Michelle lives in Brooklyn, NY. She has been an arts administrator and curator in New York City for twelve years, and is inspired by a continual stream of bizarre and lovely characters.
